Welcome to a world of Pawrenting, where the thrills of shared experiences ignite joy and laughter. The journey is filled with adventures, as exhilarating as the destination, with each day bringing new opportunities for exploration. Start with early morning walks in the park. Then enjoy cozy afternoons spent cuddling on the couch. Every moment is a chance to connect with your furball. You can make memories that could last for a lifetime! As you navigate the ups and downs of pet parenthood, you’ll discover the unique bond that forms through play. Training and quiet times together further strengthen this bond. These experiences create a tapestry of unforgettable moments. They enrich both your lives.

  • If I were guaranteed not to fail, I’d build a global movement of love — one paw at a time.

You see, I’ve always believed that our lives are a reflection of how deeply we connect — with ourselves, with others, and yes, with our pets. Somewhere between long workdays and endless to-do lists, we’ve forgotten the purest kind of companionship — the kind that doesn’t ask for perfection, only presence.

That’s where my dream begins. I would attempt to create a world where every pawrent feels supported, every pup feels nourished, and every home becomes a space of unconditional care. A world where responsible pawrenting is as natural as loving your child, and where food isn’t just fuel — it’s a language of love.

This belief inspired my two books — Pawrenting Guide for the New Pawrent and Cooking for Your Pup. Both grew from my own journey of learning, fumbling, and figuring out what it truly means to care for another being. When I first became a pawrent, I thought love alone would be enough. But I quickly realized that love needs structure, knowledge, and intention. From training tips to emotional bonding, from understanding a dog’s nutritional needs to creating meals that heal — I poured my heart into these pages so that no one else would feel as lost as I once did.

If failure weren’t an option, I’d expand that mission beyond books — into kitchens, shelters, and homes across the world. I’d collaborate with vets, nutritionists, and behavioral experts to create herbal supplements, paw-friendly meal kits, and global communities where pawrents share, learn, and grow together. I’d build a brand that feels less like a company and more like a family — where every recipe, every story, and every product whispers: “I care.”

But perhaps what excites me most is the ripple effect. When we learn to nurture our pets mindfully — through food, touch, time, and respect — we change something within ourselves too. We become softer. More present. More human.

So, if I were guaranteed not to fail, I’d attempt to make love practical again — through every paw that finds a home, every meal made with intention, and every reader who feels seen in my words.

And maybe that’s what success really is — not in how far we go, but how deeply we care.

  • My Most Epic Cooking Fail (and Why My Dog is Grateful for It)

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.

I’ve had my fair share of kitchen misadventures, but one stands proudly above the rest as my most epic fail.

It started innocently enough—just me, a bowl of batter, and a dream. Except the batter was already looking a little too much like glue. Still, I soldiered on, because sometimes disasters bloom into masterpieces, right?

    The Beginning of the End

One hand was deep in sticky batter, the other fumbling with the oven controls. I pressed “Preheat” and felt like a proper adult who had her life together. A few minutes later, though, I caught a whiff of something funny.

Not “mmm, cookies” funny. More like “call the fire department” funny.

When the Fire Alarm Became My Sous Chef

The smoke alarm started wailing. In my panic, I yanked open the oven door, ready to rescue my glue-cake. But what greeted me was not golden brown anything—it was melting plastic.

Yes, you read that right. Because here’s the thing: I wasn’t exactly using my oven as an oven. For months, it had been my convenient storage space. And now, all those carefully tucked-away containers were transforming into an oozy, toxic lava sculpture.

    The Great Gooey Lesson

That day, I learned that baking wasn’t my strong suit. But I also learned something else: food doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

Because honestly? My pup never cared if I could whip up a three-tiered cake or roast a chicken. All she’s ever wanted is something made with love (and maybe a little peanut butter).

    Why My Dog is Grateful

Out of that disaster was born a simpler philosophy for me: no more stressful, fire-alarm-triggering experiments. Instead, I began creating simple, wholesome recipes—for me and my furry one.

That’s the spirit behind my book Cooking for Your Pup. No melting plastics, no alarm systems, just easy recipes you and your dog can enjoy together. Think of it as a love language in the form of food—healthy, tail-wagging, and human-tested.

    The Moral of the Story

Sometimes the biggest fails turn into the most meaningful shifts. My kitchen fiasco taught me that perfection isn’t the goal. Connection is. And honestly, the way my pup looks at me when I share something I’ve cooked for her? That’s better than any soufflé ever could be.

  • What’s the trait you value most about yourself?

The trait I value most about myself is patience — stubborn, soft, stubbornly patient.

Patience is what got me through sleepless puppy nights, chewed-up shoes, and the “why won’t you eat this?” stare-offs at the dinner bowl. It’s the quiet muscle that let me sit with Romo when he was scared of stairs, coax Sauli through new routines after a move, and keep trying new recipes when Sugarplum politely (and repeatedly) rejected my early attempts.

That same patience shows up in my work. It’s why Pawrenting Guide for the New Pawrent isn’t a list of perfect fixes but a steady hand—full of realistic tips and gentle encouragement for people who are learning as they go. And it’s why Cooking for Your Pup focuses on simple, repeatable recipes: the kind you can make over and over, tweaking as needed, until you find what your dog truly loves.

Patience lets me turn mistakes into experiments (and mishaps into stories). It’s the reason I still try a new training technique after a dozen fails, or keep testing that carrot-and-peanut-butter cookie until it earns two enthusiastic wags. More than anything, patience has taught me that loving a pet is an ongoing practice — small acts repeated, day after day — and those steady, ordinary moments are where the magic lives.
