Adventures of Sauli the Rescue Pup
Sauli didn’t need words to understand.
When she arrived, she was small and cautious and very alert to the world. She watched hands before trusting them. She listened to footsteps. She learned routines faster than rules.
Sauli didn’t ask questions.
She paid attention.
Adventures of Sauli the Rescue Pup began as a simple story about a rescue dog learning her new home. But as the days passed, it became clear that this was also a story about how healing really works—especially for children.
Not all healing comes from talking.
Some of it comes from repetition.
From knowing what comes next.
From being met gently, again and again.
This book introduces young readers to the idea that safety is something you can feel. That trust grows through consistency. That love doesn’t always arrive with explanations—it arrives through presence.
Sauli learns by watching. By waiting. By noticing who shows up when it matters. And in doing so, she models something deeply reassuring: that you don’t have to understand everything to be okay.
My mission with this series is to create stories that speak to children without asking them to perform understanding. Stories that honor emotional intelligence in its earliest form—through rhythm, illustration, and quiet reassurance.
For caregivers, this book is a reminder that healing doesn’t require perfect words. For children, it offers something even more important: the sense that they are allowed to take their time.
If you have ever seen a child relax once they know what to expect—if you’ve watched trust grow not through explanation, but through care—you already understand this story.
Sauli doesn’t explain her journey.
She lives it.
And sometimes, that’s the best way to learn.
